FUNCTIONAL STRENGTH EXPLOSION

This is the core of Functional Strength Training! Utilizing conventional and unconventional tools in combination with martial arts, Olympic/power lifting, corrective/recovery techniques, and others to provide a truly FUNctional experience:

  • kettlebells
  • TRX/rings
  • sandbags/bulgarian bags
  • ropes
  • ViPR
  • bands & balls
  • clubbells
  • bodyweight
  • dumbbells & barbells
  • odd objects (tires, atlas stones, kegs, etc.)

This class is a culmination of many years of experience combined with the educational background to give one of the most unique and effective workouts you can have.

ZUMBA

Zumba is a dance fitness class that incorporates Latin and International music/dance movements, which creates a dynamic, exciting, and effective fitness system! This class combines fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body in an aerobic/fitness fashion to achieve a unique blended balance of cardio and muscle toning benefits. The cardio based dance movements are easy to follow steps and you do not have to know how to dance to succeed at Zumba!
* Shoes: the best shoes for Zumba are ones with the least amount of traction. Flat (ball and heel at same level), smooth bottom aerobic or court shoes are good - NO running shoes
* Carpet gliders are mandatory - you may purchase them on your own or from the instructor for $20

Combining principles of Tactical Fitness with various self defense systems, this class is designed to prepare for real world threats one may encounter. Students must expect to be challenged mentally and physically in this ongoing class (not a one time workshop) to keep your skills razor sharp.
